Program Overview
The mission of the Human Capital Development (HCD) program is to prepare graduates to improve performance in organizations through the talents of people. The programs are respected internationally as leading innovators in HCD, evidenced by the quality of graduates and faculty research.
The program focuses on improving employee performance through:

- Improving people’s sense of well-being and mindset

The Human Capital Development programs provide a think-tank environment where students interact with faculty who are experts in the discipline. The curriculum is research-based and practitioner-focused, which increases student's knowledge and sparks creativity.
Highlights
- Flexible – We offer rolling admissions in both the master’s and doctoral programs. This means students can start in the fall, spring, or summer semester. The fully online HCD master’s program can be completed in as little as 18 months for students attending full-time. The HCD doctoral program includes a combination of fully online and executive format courses to provide a convenient program with impactful in-person experiences.
- Convenient – Eight-week courses are designed for working adults. Students can take one course at a time, two per semester. The HCD and ITD course fees cover the cost of books, software, and other materials needed for your courses.
- Affordable – Our out-of-state tuition is lower than in-state tuition in many states, but our programs do not compromise on the quality of content.
- Strategic – The HCD master’s program can be used as a stepping stone to the HCD doctoral program.
- Adaptable – Ask your advisor about the possibility of graduate credit transfer.
- Accommodating – No GRE or GMAT required.
