Why Pursue Your MS in Biomedical Sciences?

Building Foundations for Potential Careers in Both the Clinical and Basic Sciences.

The MS in Biomedical Sciences is designed to enhance the academic preparation for students pursuing acceptance to medical school, dental school, veterinary school, pharmacy school, and other profession programs related to healthcare. In addition, the program may serve to strengthen the preparation of students interested in applying to Ph.D. programs in the basic medical sciences (including those in Anatomy/Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology/Immunology, Molecular Biology/Genetics, Physiology, Pathology, and Pharmacology).

This is a non-thesis based Master of Science program which may be completed in one calendar year. Faculty with advanced graduate education/training in a number of biomedical disciplines participate as instructors in the program.

Meet Jesslin Williams

After high school, I wanted to continue my education at a school that was inclusive and where I felt like more than just a number. When I toured 91°µÍøºÚÁÏ in 2014, it felt like a place where I could grow as an individual and much more. I completed my undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at 91°µÍøºÚÁÏ in 2018. I decided to return to 91°µÍøºÚÁÏ for my master’s degree because I knew that I would be supported during the program and well-equipped afterwards.

Meet the Program Director

Dr. John Bailey

John Bailey

I was asked to become the Program Coordinator in the summer of 2022, after the second year of the program's existence.

My contribution to the program is based on my education and training in anatomy, cell biology, and physiology. I have approximately thirty years of teaching experience and have taught these disciplines to undergraduates and graduate students, as well as veterinary and medical students.
