Bio
Marisa Alawine earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mississippi State University in 2014 and her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from The University of 91°µÍøºÚÁÏ in 2016. For the next few years she worked as a Counselor and 91°µÍøºÚÁÏ Coordinator for a local substance abuse facility. Since early 2020, Marisa has served as the Student Support Specialist for the School of Psychology at 91°µÍøºÚÁÏ. In this role, she is able to support students on their path to successful graduation by connecting them to helpful resources accross campus as well as advising them for courses to help them reach degree completion. Her favorite part of working as a student support specialist is being able to work with students who are having difficulty with their academics. She enjoys being able to see them overcome these difficulties and graduate successfully.
